When you call for reservations identify yourself as a member of EPIC AUTHORS ~ National Convention participants. The cutoff date for room reservations is Thursday, February 7, 2008. Reservations can also be made online at: www.portlandlloydcenter.doubletree.com. Select your dates under "Check Availability", click "GO" and enter your group code which is EAC.
The rates for the conference are $105.00+ tax for a standard guest room with one queen bed and $115.00+ tax for a premium room with two queen beds. The tax rate is currently 12.5%.
Hotel guests park free; there is a $3 charge for non-guests.
The hotel is located a fast 20 minute drive from the Portland International Airport (PDX). For a couple of dollars, take the MAX train from the airport.

Follow Airport way to I-205 South. Then take I-84 West, go approximately 5 miles to exit 1 Lloyd Blvd. Go to the second light off of the exit and take a right. Go 1 and 1/2 blocks and Lloyd Center is on the left.
General Arrival Directions
FROM THE NORTH (on I-5):
Take Rose Quarter-City center exit 302A. Take a left at the second light (Weidler). Go to 9th Avenue and take a right. Go to the second light and the hotel is on the left.
FROM THE SOUTH (on I-5):
Take Rose Quarter-City center exit 302A. At the first light, take a right on Weidler. Go to 9th Avenue and take a right. Go to the second light and the hotel is on the left.
